Pip has been with the Little River Landcare Group for 10 years, starting out as the organisations administrator during a period when the group went from being a traditional voluntary group, to the position of being a professional community organisation. Pip spent 5 years as our Education Manager and in 2012 commenced as our CEO.

Pip was presented with this award at the NSW Parliament House by the Honorable Katrina Hodgkinson, the Minister for Primary Industries among and esteemed crowd of past award winners, sponsors and advocates for the advancement of rural women. Pip was recognised for her contribution to natural resource management and rural community.

Pip will use the $10,000 bursary to undertake a study tour, looking at successful programs around the world that assist farming families in dealing with the social challenges of farming ranging from mental health, succession planning, communication, solitude and financial literacy. Pip will use her learning to develop a program for farming families that helps to increase their capacity to produce food and fiber that achieves mutual outcomes for families, their business, their community and the environment.

Pip will also complete the Company Directors course, media training and be a finalist in the National award to be announced in September 2014 in Canberra.

Good luck Pip!
