Wriggly worms at Cumnock Preschool

Presentation at Cumnock Village Preschool

It's a wonderful wriggly world when you have a group of young children and a worm farm!

Last week, the children at the Cumnock Preschool learnt about all things worm farming. With worm colour in sheets, worm matching cards and worm diagrams covering almost every wall within the centre, our presentation about what can and cannot go in a worm farm fitted right in.

A big thank you to Elzette Connon for allowing me to visit the centre to teach the children about the do's and don'ts of worm farming. I hope the presentation outcomes add value to the fantastic resource management work currently underway at the centre.

Presentation outcomes:

  • Increased awareness of the environmental benefits of worm farming
  • Increased understanding of what can and cannot go in a worm farm
  • Increased understanding of worm biology
